He is a 2 year old boxer mix. And he is being unusually lazy. Not wanting to go outside to play just laying around by the fire.

He probably has worms. They eat all the food you give your dog, and his muscles are deprived of the food they need to make energy. That's why he seems lazy. Worms growl a lot in the stomach, it sounds like gas but is more frequent and never seems to stop. Get him to the vet.

I do know boxer's do have gas alot, and will pass gas !! It could be gas, have you noticed your dog passing any gas? If its gas you will know when he passes it! If he's not passing gas then it could be something else. Also boxers are really playful dogs, is he playful at all? If not he could be sick? Only you know your dog and how he should act and if he's not acting right to you then follow your instincts!! And take him to see a vet! If you think something is wrong then you shouldn't question yourself about it! Take him to be seen just incase, for a check up, it shouldn't cost much for that! You have alot to loose if you don't, right? good luck, hope hes not sick!
