They are distracting to other drivers. Besides, they are tacky. And they are not illegal to have here in Texas, only to drive with them on. Which people do anyway. In fact, I saw some just the other night. Really, they are in bad taste. But if it makes you happy, spend your hard-earned money on it but leave them off when you're driving. Oh, and don't worry about your English...many of these people are native English speakers and your spelling is better than theirs.

they aren't illegal everywhere. Some states or even some counties have laws regarding them. They fall under distractions and nusiances like the musical horns of the 80's did.. If a official don't like them they make them illegal in their jurisdicition. Red lights under a car are illegal anywhere as that color is restricted to emergency vehicles only.

they are not illegal all over the country. however where they are the reason they claim is that they can be a distraction to other drivers. some places let you have them but you are not allowed to drive with them on. others dont care but have colors like red and blue are illegal because they can be confused for emergecy vehicle lights. i would just reccomed finding out the law where you live to avoid any trouble.

Cars are a means of transport for getting from A to B not a bl@@dy roadshow. Those lights should be banned everywhere.
