dogs are pack animals and very social. put him by your bed in a box with some of your dirty laundry in. your scent will be comforting. dont put him in your bed tho. if his bed is by your bed, he will be even more protective of you. my border collie is 7 and her bed everynight is my bathrobe on my floor.

Give your puppy an old shirt with your smell on it. Put it over a furry stuffed animals. This helped my dog when she was a pup. Also if the puppy is in a small crate (but big enough crate to stand up in), the confinement of a smaller area will make puppy feel more secure.

I have heard that if you put a clock in it's bed that it will hear the ticking and it will remind it of it's mother heart beat and feel safe and go to sleep. But you just have to make it comfy, nice soft bed, some food and water and that's the best you can do. Eventually it will stop crying once it realizes that you arn't coming *it's kinda like a child if you come onces he will think what he is doing worked so he will keep up the crying* Good luck

Give him something soft to sleep on, a little food, a little water, and a chew toy and let him tough it out. It seems hard at first, listening to him whine, but eventually he will understand that you aren't going to come get him and go to sleep. If that doesn't help, try leaving a raido in there on with some soft noise. He's just a puppy...so he's going to get scared. Or you could invest in a kennel and keep him with you in your room. This way, he can still see you...and not poop on the carpet at the same time.

He will do this for some time, its like crate training they will scream and cry and if you go anywhere near them when they are doing this it will just go on and on. He will soon learn that when hes put in the laundry room its time for bed. Be patient.

Stop neglecting your puppy dog and let it sleep in a basket in the living room or your bedroom someplace.

It's a puppy and is probably scared of being alone.

Put on a radio with soft music for the puppy to listen to- he will think a person is with him. Also dogtoys.com sell a teddy bear with a heartbeat to comfort your puppy.

What I would do is sit next to the laundry door and just slitly open it and just pet him a little till he gets sleepy. You dont want to give him the idea that you are going to do that every night , so dont do that to long, just long anough to make him think he is safe and that he should get to bed. Make sure that he is warm enough to sleep, and that he doesnt have to go to the bathroom. I hope i helped.

instead of putting your puppy in the laundry room buy a cage or kennel to put in your room so you can have the puppy there were he can see you. I would rather have him in there too.

Be patient, what did you think it would do? It needs time to adjust to being alone, dogs are pack animals!
