You need to define accurately what you are being 'alive' about. Some people are very intense, in their looks, behavior, etc. It can scare many. They may appear to be pushy, aggressive, intimdating, as many adjectives you can name that people may misunderstand your stances in any particular context.

I define being 'alive' as being a good listener, with appropriate eye contact, having a soft tone, paced talking/thinking, aware of assumptions which could be wrong, until checked out. Being aware of the differences of dif people with dif culture, even those from the same culture have differences of opinion, etc. Being 'alive' is not considering only yourself. You need to know that you may not appear as being 'alive' as you think others ought to see you.

Just what are you being 'alive' about?
