I see no hidden message in this translation:
11-13 God spoke: "Earth, green up! Grow all varieties
of seed-bearing plants,
Every sort of fruit-bearing tree."
And there it was.
Earth produced green seed-bearing plants,
all varieties,
And fruit-bearing trees of all sorts.
God saw that it was good.
It was evening, it was morning—
Day Three.

There are many things that follow out of this verse.
Here is one.
Seeds that are sown (planted), yield fruit of the type of seed sown.
Wheat seed does not grow trees.
Apple seeds do not grow wheat.
You can also continue on and observe that the harvest happens at a later time than seeding.
Be careful of the seeds you sow!
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Galatians 6:1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, 5 for each one should carry his own load. 6 Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

It means that after initially being created by God, the grass and fruit trees can now continue creating new life from their inherent seeds. Come on now, think!

*smile*. No hidden meaning. God's word is plain. He brought forth grass on the earth, trees and seeds. Simple.

Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth vegetation: every kind of plant that bears seed and every kind of fruit tree on earth that bears fruit with its seed in it." And so it happened:
That the Catholic Communion (Eucharist) is the real deal...
"This IS my Body..."

Jesus used fruit trees in his parables. That Christians will bring forth "good fruit" but that those who don't believe will be burned like the chaff.
Also, Jesus said "He is the vine and we are the branches."
Jesus also walked up to a fig tree and because it bore no fruit, He told it to wither.
So, we are fruit trees, that can sow seeds that will grow and glorify God.

In the New Testament, we are told "You reap what you sow."
And of course, God is telling us we have the seed within us to reproduce .
