Personally, I like Aleksandra. The pronunciation is the same, I believe ... and its a beautiful modern twist on a classic name.

*Edit -- I don't think that the way you spell your daughter's name will have any reflection on your intelligence OR education level. I think it shows creativity and gives your child her own identity.

I'm a fan of the spelling Alexandra, the name is lovely, but a lot of these people are making very good points. She might be criticized that her name is weird, or criticized for the spelling. Alexandra would probably be better. Plus she could shorten it to Alex and write it easier growing up.

But honestly, I really think it's a gorgeous name. I've noticed this past year people are finding different, creative ways of spelling common names, and I think it's really a neat idea. Aleksandra is very different, almost looks foreign and makes you think of the exotic. I like it :)

Aleksandra sounds pretentious and silly. Go with Alexandra, that has historical basis and doesn't make it sound like you weren't smart enough to figure out how to spell the actual name (which, sadly, is true in some cases).

Alexandra, because of the fact it will be much less complicated for all to spell. If one has a tricky to spell call, one constantly has to terrific suited others or spell it each and every the place they pass. this is a worry. in straightforward terms a theory.
