Yes, here's how.

Get a dishpan and put about half an inch of warm water in it. Put the dishpan in the bathroom after you've run the shower and it's nice and warm and humid. You don't want your bird to catch cold after his bath. If you can, move his cage in the bathroom so he can dry off safely and stay warm.

Perch your bird on the rim of the dishpan and flutter your fingers in the water to get his attention. He may hope down into it on his own, if not, lower him carefully into the bottom of the dishpan. He might flutter around and take his bath on his own, or you may have to use a cup and pour water over him to get him started.

Another idea is to bring him into the warmed bathroom and spray him with a squirt bottle filled with warm water at close range, with the spray set on "mist" instead of "stream".

Here's a great website for cockatiel owners, and information on misting/bathing them; http://www.geocities.com/pacificcrest_cockatiels/cage/misting.html

Place a shallow dish on a surface near a sunny place, use a store bought sprayer filled with room temperature water and set the stream to a mist. Don't over do it, If the bird is comfortable it will seek the dish or hang from the cage wire in hopes to gather water droplets to bathe Cockatiels tend to produce more feather dust (white chalky) than other Psittacine like birds. Do not use soap, shampoo or any other detergent.

Yes it is safe just bath your cockatiel in the sink with warm water about two inches high.
I wash mine with boots own shampoo.
I dry mine using a hair dryer. I also I give mine a hot bottle on top of her cage just to make sure she is dry and half covered with a cloth over the cage.

My cockatiel loves to take showers. Some saturdays if I do not take her in the shower she will go to the bathroom and cry until she gets her shower. Just don't bath the bird too close to bedtime. I usually give my bird a shower in the morning on Saturdays.

Yes.
Use warm water. And dry them by gentle wrap them in cloth to absorb excessive water. Then use a hair dryer to blow dry them. Use a gentle wind speed, and constantly moving the hair dryer, I mean don't just hold the dryer and aim at once place. And careful not over heat, heat too long, and burn the birds.

Bathing: some birds like spray, some like dish. For dish don't make it too deep that your bird will drown.

Dry them immediately, or it may catch a cold.
