Ok before the answer, I need to point out some VERY real problems with digitalizing your signature in that way.

Ok, Theres this whole identify theft thing going on. It is already very easy to steal identies.. BUT.. one of the major ways the authorities catch them is because their Signatures don't match, since very rarely do they get to see a copy of it.

Ok so think about that first ;)
Secondly, why do you need it? If its a digital copy your sending (ie no print version ever) You dont actually need to sign it, I have never seen a situation in my entire business life that requires a digitalized signature. (Other than UPS deliveries, but those are legal documents, and enforceable) If you just want to make life easy for yourself by mass-printing letters with your signature already, i can see that.. which leads us to the answer ;)

Simple answer: A scanner. Sign your name, scan it, save it somewhere then imbed the picture into your word document.

Keep that image safe, like you would a credit card number. You can never be too paranoid.

(I speak from experience, as there are currently two, legal Mes out there, with no way to tell us apart, because the can forge my signature)

Be careful =)

What you need is a scanner. If you have one put your signature on a piece of white paper, scan it, crop it to be a box just slightly larger than the signature and save it as a JPEG. Then you can import it into Word. I've done it - it works perfectly.
