My husband mailed in his application form for a work permit two weeks ago and we got the application receipt notice yesterday telling him that he will later recieve a biometrics appointment notice later. How long does it usually take to receive one?

it varies by which state you live in, but it normally takes I think 30-90 days, enough time for you to plan and clear you schedule.
I applied in late October 2005, had my appointment in Febraury, I was notified of the appointment in about Nov or Dec. This was in Florida were is is very busy.

Actually it is alot shorter now, you will probably get the biometrics within 2 weeks....how long again after that is the real question. If you dont get the biometrics notice soon, call and you may have to schedule an infopass one.
