In certain parts of Texas you can, but most of the cities are "dry" and you are unable to purchase liquor/beer after a certain time and on Sundays as well....

i was born and raised in south texas, been away for almost 4 years... anyway you can only buy beer/wine on sundays at stores... but bars can open up as early as noon and you can have whatever they carry.

as far as i know, here in Houston. NO. liquor stores are closed on Sundays. i don't know about other cities.

Any open bar or ice house sells on premise booze after noon, unless they serve a meal, then they may serve before noon,
