I had the same question. It's not the matter of being a native speaker of not being a native speaker. People lack simple education. They spell as they say. Like "thy" instead of "thigh", "cloth" instead of "clothes" etc; the most ridiculous one so far that I saw was "prosseger" instead of "procedure". Seriously!!!?

I agree, although when you ask a Q the spell check doesn't seem to check the additional details. But people should read what they are writing before submitting.

Some people are simply too lazy to use it! And by not using spell checker, They destroy the english language. I think one of the worst signs of laziness is Internet lingo! ugh very frustrating. Most of the time, people who don't look at their question before they submit it, end up hitting themseles afterwards.

I agree. I try to remember that the folks in this category are often not native English speakers, but in other categories, or when it's obvious that the person typing is fluent in English, it really makes me mad. Especially the ones that are so bad you can't read them.

Good point.

Many questions are also ungrammatical. WHY DON'T PEOPLE read their questions before submitting them to make sure there are no mistakes? It's also free.

(If you are a native speaker of a language other than English, however, please forgive me.)
