There's this guy that i like and i've liked him for almost a year. we are pretty good friends. i really want him to ask me out but at the same time i don't because if it doesn't last we won't be friends anymore. Also, if we dance at a dance will we have to go out?

if you dance with him you dont HAVE to go out, but it might give you more confidence to actually ask him out. if it doesnt work out you could still be friends, just slightly different. if it doesn't work out you will have at the very least tried! sixth grade isn't to young to date, but in a couple years you will realize that it wasn't REAL dating. so go ahead, it just gets better and better from here!

If you dance at a dance, it does not mean that you have to go out. But if the dance goes really well then he might ask you out or you could ask him out! In my opinion, 6th grade is not too young to date :) Maybe just dance with him...see how things go. Your relationship won't be ruined by a dance.

where are you from..i could help you...well i have been put in this situation before...if he is like your best friend and you really don't htink that you can be good friends after going out..then don't....you don't want to lose a friend over a boyfriend but if you can work things out after then yeah...
as for the dance...just cuz you dance with him..doen't mean that you are going out with him..that is just a social time for you and friends..
don't force anything your only in 6th grade..and you might not know what LOVE is...or the other way he might not know what LOVE is...

If i were u then i would! iv dated since i was in the 5th grade. If yall brake up then u just have to make a good effort to stay friends. Oh and to answer your other guestion is no. If u dance with a guy at a party then u dont have to go out with him cause i danced with every guy in my grade as friends.

No a dance is just a dance, not an engament or ownership. You are much too young to be dating at your age. Stick to friendships and if you go to school dances meet him there and dance.

hey i think that you should wait a little longer and see what he does.if you dance together at the dance that doesn't mean you have to go out.that could just mean that you are one step of going out.and about your friendship if you are really good friends then it would continue the same way.
