I found this and found it very interesting, please watch the video and read this post all the way through before posting a response, and if your response doesnt deal with my original question ("Is there such a thing as "praying"?"), you will be reported. Answer maturely and truthfully, do not be a child.

If you can offer counter-evidence, please do supply a link or story, thank you.

I guess I didnt word my question correctly.
Does "praying" do anything? Is "praying" a pointless task, or does it actually work?

No "MERRY CHRISTMAS", the video isnt saying that if you lose a ring and so do 10 other people that if you pray 1 of you will get your ring back. Your response is filled with ignorance and it sounds like you covered your ears and didnt hear anything the video had to say.

prayer exists, that is, the act of talking to "god," but it is useless. thanks for the video, i saw that once before, still think it makes a WONDERFUL point. christians: if you refuse to watch the video you can at least read the transcript... failing to do that is just another way that you are hiding in your own delusion.

On one factor, that is an oxymoron. On yet another that is love that twisted. Now if there under no circumstances replaced into any, and continually replaced right into a lie, then that's the first one. yet love can initiate off and bypass incorrect, change into fake or faked. lengthy married couples can locate themselves in a foul position of not loving the guy yet feeling they ought to or they ought to do this, and they're going to then fake this. after all, that is amazingly scary to communicate it, what's going to take position? What would the different man or woman imagine or SAY? we in many circumstances do not listen at the same time as the problem is emotional, we may be able to listen our personal 'tape' on it, our personal weak point can come to the forefront.

ROFL.
Man i love this.
I spend so much time trying to explain the same thing to my mom.
She makes the same excuses and absolutely refuses to believe it.
It is a bunch of superstition. Religion is nothing but an ancient form of government, and the act of prayer was meant to keep people in awe, and ultimately in line.
Being agnostic, I tend to use my brain and intellect to figure things out. Too bad having those things are a threat to religion, but at the same time I'm a liberal and I respect that people are different and need different things to be feel strong, so i can't be downright nasty about it.
But good one.

to pray has four meanings in the Bible: from the Hebrew and Grek texts:
1. To ask for
2. To Beg for
3. To plead (almost like beg, but more calmly)
4. To communicate in obedience (while showing obedience)

The Catholic church has an intact 1700 year old hand from a saint who died. The account of his hand is interesting, in that, his original hand was cut off (along with his tongue), and it grew back. All of his body except his hand (and possibly his tongue) rotted away after death. Isn't that strange.
A Jewish man was found to be in remission from his stage 4 ?throat? cancer after he took the Eucharist from Blessed Pope John Paul II's Mass (That's why he's considered "Blessed.")
I believe that I've watched every video on that site...

Yes Jesus prayed. He was human like us and he talked to his Father, God. That is prayer. When we talk to God we're praying.
