Get a pre-made turkey dinner from your local grocery store. It usually comes with mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing; however, you can make it your own by "doctoring" up the sides and adding some more of your own. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

If you had a slow cooker it would be ideal. However I have sorta roasted a chicken on top of the stove. Same principle as inside an oven only you need something(even an upside down pie plate) inside the roasted to keep meat off the bottom. turn burner on low to medium. Place roaster on burner. Put some water in the bottom of the roaster before placing on burner ring. Keep checking as it cooks to be sure water does not evaporate or you will have a dry bird. When bird is almost done you can throw in potatoes and carrots or veggie of choice. A stuffed bird will take a bit longer but will cook. Give it lots of time. Not hard to heat up in microwave if done early.

Do you have a metal roasting pan with lid? If so take your chicken and place it on a wire wrack. Fill in the bottom of the pan with about an inch of water and place on the burners. Make sure and keep and eye on the water. You want to make sure and keep the bottom of the pan covered. Take and coat your chicken with melted butter, salt, pepper and garlic (the garlic is optional). Cook the chicken until its got a golden color and then cut the breast to make sure that it is completely done. If you do not have a roasting pan you can use an aluminum pan and cover with aluminum foil. Just try and keep most of the moisture in. I have done this before when all i had was two electric burners. It works on the same concept as the turkey roasters that you can buy.

Hope this helps. Have a Merry Christmas.

On a crisp fall evening, nothing brings more warmth to the dinner table than a steaming bowl of soup. Vary your traditional chili recipe by substituting chicken for ground beef and white beans for red. For more heat, add a few chopped green chilies and dehydrated onions. Serve with baked tortilla chips and top with a dollop of sour cream.

Preparation time: About 15 minutes.

Equipment you’ll need: Can opener, kitchen scissors, saucepan, measuring spoons, wooden spoon, cutting board, ladle and serving bowls.

Safety: Carefully stir beans and tomatoes into hot broth.

Recipe:

1 14.5-ounce can chicken broth

4 chicken tenderloins

1 16-ounce cans navy beans, drained

1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes, drained

1 teaspoon chili powder

Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

1. Rinse tenders under cold running water. Pat dry and cut into bite size pieces.

2. Add chicken to broth, bring to a boil and cook for 8-10 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and stir in beans and tomatoes.

4. Return to stove and cook for another 5 minutes on medium heat.

Yield: 4 servings.

Clean up: Turn off stove immediately after use. Always leave the kitchen clean!

A chicken cooked in a microwave is going to taste like a rubber ball. You would be better off making chicken soup with homemade noodles. If you can possibly do it, get a Nesco cooker it is an electric roasting pan.

I would buy a grocery store rotisserie chicken (pre-roasted/seasoned), and reheat in the microwave. Stuffing, mashed potatoes, and a veggie can all be made on the burners or microwave.

In the future, I'd suggest buying a $20 toaster oven. You can bake damn near anything in one (on a smaller scale). I've made an entire Thanksgiving dinner in one (Cornish game hens, rolls, green bean casserole, etc.)

Merry Christmas!

You can do itin a microwave but the skin won't come out crispy. Just season with some nice herbs -- rosemary, garlic, salt, and lavender is nice and cook. Either that or cut in pieces and cook in a frying pan on low heat.
