That platform thing? Was in fiction called "Hammerheads" by Dale Brown 5-6 years ago. With two of those and a fleet of Ospreys (armed, that is) and a fleet of Predator-style drones they can shut down the entire US-Southern border to smugglers. :) (Fiction, remember, fiction!)
