I need one with the pineapple, walnuts, marshmellows, ginger, something along those lines. I hope the fellow that gave me the recipe for the standing rib roast writes, uh, his name is Steve G. Steve G., wherever you are, please help. And anyone else for that matter. Thanx so much and I want EVERYONE to have a very happy holiday!! --Lauren

MY MOMS RECIPE IS GOOD..
2 cans yams
1 bag marshmallows
3 tbsp butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup pecans
8 oz can crushed pineapple

just add yams (cut in smaller bite size pieces) add brown sugar, chunk up butter and put in different spots, add pineapple ( drained ) add pecan, then add bag of marshmallows to the top and bake in 325 degree oven for like 20 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown.. TIP: the more brown sugar and butter the better becasue it makes a syrup..very good!

I used to make a similar casserole for my husband every thanksgiving. It was his favorite. he is now deceased. Any way. I would boil the yams until they were tender and then drain them and add butter, brown sugar, drained crushed pineapple and mix this together and put in a casserole dish and cover with miniature marshmallows and bake in the oven tilll the marshmallows melted and were brown on top. I never had an exact recipe, I just kind of put the things together and it always turned out good.

how bout you just try mashing your taters with some butter, salt, pepper, and maybe some sour cream...top with caramelized onions and then those little marshmallows. Verry simple...no gourmet or expensive ingredients and it is yummy.
