The wisest man in the world wanted to know the answer to that question...his name was Solomon. He wrote an entire book in the bible about that very subject.... the book of Ecclesiastes. You may find it very, very intriguing. The entire book is about his quest to find meaning and purpose in life. His last words were:
"Fear God and keep His commandments for this is the whole of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil."
Our purpose, essentially, is to respect and love our creator, and do as He tells us to do... very simple, yet the most difficult thing in the world.
