Because some people post stupid things. I have only reported 6 times sense I started but yes if someone is talking about how they have a crush on there preteen daughter who is 4 years old and how they want to take her into there bedroom then yes I am going to report them.
That was once a question some paedophile was making sick posts like that.

I don't know why people report everyone either. I got reported by some mommy-nazi because she was saying that her kids could scream in restaurants because it was their 5th amendment rights..and I stated that their 5th amendment rights were the right not to incriminate themselves. It wasn't even anywhere near as offensive as the names she was calling the person who asked about why people didn't keep their kids in check in public. Don't know what some people's deal is.

Maybe, what you say is offensive...or maybe someone is just a crybaby that what you had to say hit too close to home...who knows...but why are you letting it bother you? It is not like this is a big part of life...its just for fun and information...not to get worked up about...

I almost never report people. I send them nasty e-mails, and they get my accounts deleted. This place sucks.
