Try this:
Plain Griddle Cakes (pancakes from scratch)
sift:
one cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
one-quarter teaspoon salt (not needed)
beat and add:
one egg (optional)
add:
1 cup milk (scant)
stir gradually to make smooth
add:
1 teaspoon melted butter or oil
cook in a hot frying pan, flip pancakes when they bubble, to brown the other side.
Serve with Vermont maple syrup.
These pancakes are sure to be tasty -- if you're watching your sodium intake, you can make them without salt and baking powder, which also contains sodium (as does milk), and they'll probably still be pretty good. We never add salt to anything, but when we omitted the baking powder the pancakes came out a little bit on the glue-ey side

Oh, do I have an awesome one. This is a guy recipe that if you master (it's easy) people will just be intimidated. They don't rise; they're more like crepes. Crack eggs in a bowl, one to two per person. Stir in flour until it gets really stiff. Stir in whole milk gradually until it thins out. You want it thin enough that you can ladle it into a buttered pan and swirl it around to fill the pan. When the top looks dry, flip. Fold it in quarters to remove from pan and lay on a platter. Unfold to eat, and you can sprinkle sugar on or pour syrup on, or spread jelly on and roll them up. Kids can lay them out flat, filling their plates, and cut faces in them. It's really easy to master and impresses people to no end, not the least of which is because you're so 'skillful' that you don't even need a recipe!
By the way, if you wind up with too much batter it freezes well. If you wind up with too many pancakes they freeze well, too. They nuke up nicely.

Use a traditional pancake recipe or boxed brand and change it a little. I add some sugar or splenda and raisins. I add some coconut milk or coconut cream. I have even had pancakes with some chopped sandwich ham mixed in. Don't knock it 'til you try it. Spreading some butter, jam and syrup is ALWAYS soooooo good. :-)

No pancakes are awesome.
Use Bisquick and follow directions on the back
Replace some of the milk called for with sour cream.
Add fresh berries (cut up, if necessary) and put sour cream on top with confectioner's sugar

The following recipe makes outstanding whole wheat pancakes. I'll be making them Christmas morning.
Mix 1 egg (lightly beaten), 1 cup whole wheat flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 2 tbsp. oil, and 1 cup milk. Cook on no stick griddle at 350.

just buy krusteez pancake mix then add water
heat a pan up and put cooking oil on it
then fry the pancakes

I just use bisQuick but my secret is to flip the pancake on the griddle or pan before the bubbles pop when you are cooking them you will know

Yeah, buy the just add water kind. Make sure your pan is well buttered....on med. heat. You can experiment by adding fruit (bananas or berries) or even pecans to the batter.
