yeah but if people can remember, we went through an opposite trend back in the seventies. We were cooling off. What if now, we are just warming back up? I just think it's a cycle.

Oh, but shouldn’t we here in the US agree to unilaterally reduce our carbon dioxide emissions and eliminate all our industries, even though no other nation will do that, so that we can be a have-not nation for a change and give China or India the chance to be the sole superpower? I mean, isn’t that FAIR…?
I don’t look forward to being a poverty stricken nation. You can’t make people want to be poor. But the rest of the world has the idea that “the USA has everything, and they won’t notice if I steal a little of it.”
After all, it’s only FAIR….!
I’m just afraid that the other nations of the world will swarm over the USA like army ants and devour everything and not even figure out that they killed the goose that laid the golden eggs till it’s too late. IF they ever figure it out. “How can I be broke? I’ve still got some checks left!”
And then all the lazy people here and abroad will lie back to enjoy the fruits of civilization without doing anything to produce them, and fight over the bones that are left, and then if any aliens come to look over our ruins, they will wonder how animals with the humanoid form could have been so utterly unintelligent.
But, it would be FAIR….
Yeah, if we listen to the scaremongers, it would serve us right.

Kudos for your insight. the global Warming Hysteria is on the verge of costing the United states over 10 Trillion $10,000,000,000,000.00 in the next decade in additional expenses and lost revenues. The predicted rate of growth forecast by the climate models continues to decrease as the data stream becomes more comprehensive and improves in quality. The polar ice caps are shrinking on Mars. How did mankind cause that? Vapid Politicos like Albert Gore Jr. use this hype to catapult themselves politically. Wine grapes were grown in England in the 15th century. We have the records of this Scores of scientific papers show that the medieval warm period was real, global and up to 3C warmer than now. How did they get so warm? Back then, there were no glaciers in the tropical Andes: today they're there. There were Viking farms in Greenland: now they're under permafrost. There was little ice at the North Pole: a Chinese naval squadron sailed right round the Arctic in 1421 and found none. But people are easily seduced by a slick Hollywood film that promotes a political agenda at the expense of scientific debate.

In the winter, CO2 causes an ice age.
In the summer, warming.
Whether global warming is true or not, the bigger driving force for emissions will be the energy crisis, not global warming. This is because most of the signing nations are emocracies, and most democracies will favor a better economy, which inherently requires more energy.

Any individual, even a PhD, can have a wild idea and write a book. So what? That doesn't make a scientific consensus and never will.
But when a thousand climate scientists write the largest peer-reviewed paper in the history of science -- when that paper says that global warming is happening -- when in the last six years not one single climate scientist anywhere in the world has publicly doubted that global warming is happening -- THAT is a scientific consensus. I hope you know the difference.

try taking a statistics class and finding out what statistics really tell you.
just because a few, very few scientists believed in this global cooling, which is still going on, but at a different level in the atmosphere than the warming, which is what is responsible for radical climate change, doesn't mean everyone bought intoit, nor does it mean it was entirely wrong. a very few just jumped the gun liek the people did, who claimed to have discovered cold fusion.

My name is Rafael Lomena. I write from Alicante (Spain). I am independent investigator on the Accelerated Global Heating and want to share with all something that can turn out from interest to fight this phenomenon.
I believe that the main cause of the Accelerated Global Heating is in the great and increasing forest fires that are whipping to the planet in the last years.
My complete report is in: http://inicia.es/de/rlv/clim.htm...
If they do not understand the Spanish they can use the automatic translator that will find in the main page of site:

Thanks to all.

Global warming has occurred cyclically in the past without our CO2 emissions.
I am less worried about global warming than I am about the quality of the air we breathe.

Last year it was "the Hurricanes are coming, and they will be worse next year! and "It's freezing! it will be worse next year." I don't get it these are "experts" yet they seem to be able to predict the weather as well as me with my degree in Hospitality management....
How about every prediction they get wrong they lose grant money?
then maybe they will actually try to find facts rather then copying off the paper of the guy next to him.
