It's Poteen. A few years ago, the Irish government licensed one producer, although I don't think the product will be full strength.

You're looking for "Poitin" (pronounced, and sometimes spelled "Potcheen"). You can find it outside of Ireland as the bottle clearly states "For Export ONLY"

It's essentially Irish moonshine.

Potcheen is made in caves by a few people because it is illegal, pure spirit made from Potatoes. Very very strong. Difficult to purchase.

its called puchene (dont know if thats right spelling) its a spirit made from potatoes. had it one xmas, clear like vodka, tastes like whiskey and is lethal. Its not a new drink been around for centuries. Its also illegal to distil puchene.

Its not new at all puchine has been brewed and smuggled for generations, very little about nowadays haven't had any for nearly ten years.
