I'm 18 years old. In my culture, they get married at young age and have babies at young age. My mom got married and had her first baby when she was 15. Now, the people from my country keep on saying to me, "Are you going to get married soon?", I'm like No. I will married when I'm around 26 years old.
I hope I'll find Mr. Perfect when I'm 25. And get married then.

well in many cultures people get married early. however it does not mean that bcuz ur parents did u have to. it is now modern times and u should feel free to decide when u should or should not get married.. in my opinion 18 is way too young for a gurl to get married .. i think 26 is just perfect and i also know that u want to accomplish alot b4 u get into the married life..
soo jus go with your own thoughts and be what u want to be.

so maybe you should listen to your heart, you are probably not in your cultural background so adopt your new one, which it sounds like you are trying. i am a canadian 50 year old male who has travelled the world extensivley and got married to a filipina 8 years ago and we have some cultural problems. the age dif, she is 29, is minimall but the loss of freedom for me is an issue. i now have 2 kids age 4 and 6 whom i enjoy alot and would regret having them at a younger age. we only live once so enjoy your life and think hard before committing yourself to someone for life, that someone must be loved and cherished by you! not your culture. so enjoy life first then.......??? good luck and happy heart...lorne

Marriage is nothing to rush and should be done only when both parties are fully prepared. I think you're very smart for wanting to wait. You have a lot of life to live before you get married. Very mature thinking.
