A friend of mine has been going to a methadone clinic for several years. I had heard about people being admitted to a general hospital and being given something to detoxify them, but where do they go from there? Do many people ever get off drugs and stay off?

Very few get off. It's not about hospitals, drugs, doctors, group therapy or any of that BS. It's all about the individual and how bad he/she WANTS to get off. Fewer than 10% get off for good the first time. Many end up dead or in jail. It's really sad when all they have to do is make a decision to rearrange their lifestyle.

at last the debt would be grew to become over to a debt sequence organisation and located on your credit checklist as a charge off. this could be a detrimental mark against you and decrease your credit. however for $720 it may be unusual, the two the scientific provider or at last the debt collector could desire to sue you for a judgment. in case you're working, you may desire to evaluate calling the provider and making preparations for money (say $50 a month).

And which department would be appropriate in a 'regular' hospital ... emerg?....medical?.......psychiatric? .....sorry....unless there is a specific 'drug program' to be admitted TO in the hospital....a 'regular' hospital isn't any place to go to be detoxified.
