I am decorating my room in the theme of Islamorada, Keys. My room is painted lime green with a tropical/Hawiainan bed spread. I have a desk, dresser, TV, bed, and mirror closet. I have sheer window curtains and I am also looking for a decorative way to tie them back. I need something other then pictures to put of my wall. Oh yea, I also have a really comfy chair. My room doesn't have a lot of floor space so any kind of organization like shelves that can be hung on the wall would be helpful! Any suggestions? THANKS!!!

I have seen these great shelves that look like squares that hang on the wall, They make a great display box for any items. Perhaps a hula girl or hawaiian flower. (not familiar with Islamorada...) Tie the curtains back with Raffia and sea shells. It will give the room an organic touch. Perhaps suspended shelving with an open back to keep with the light airy tropical feel. Or, cubical shelving with open back that will climb a wall or serve as a room divider.

A neat decorating trick witht the block shelves that I have seen, you take contrasting room colors and paint inside cube to serve as backdrop for artistic accessories..

You could go with palm trees, exotic tropical flowers, as well as fun pink flamingo or with monkey decor. Tropical linen for your table and kitchen. Tropical wind chimes, or wind socks. Tropical shower curtains and vanity items. You said your bed spread was green and the palm leaves or the flamingos would look great with that color. That would take care of your wall decor also. Get pics of what ever you choose to go with.
