Does this stuff taste rancid or is it just me?

Haven't come across the stuff - but Becks is now brewed by evil faceless multinational conglomerate 'In-Bev' who are only interested in brewing a limited range of heavily-advertised rubbish as cheaply as possible. So it wouldn't surprise me if it was rancid!

Vier, denotes it is made with english tap water.
As 90% plus of beer is water, this overlooked ingredient.......well, my dad was a chemical engineer and he was involved in the 1980's lauch of budwieser.....enogh said. (apparantly, and if you look at the reverse of a bud label, for the preservetaive crap) a bud is a complicated beast, mostly the storage temperature is cricical, from wharehouse to shop, else the preservativs, chemicals in british water....do strange things to those pure filtered hops......10% of british water is flouride....plays havock with the chemicals on the menu of the recipie for "brewed and bottled in the uk" (under licence) budwiser!

if 'ben b' is correct - and i have no reason to doubt him - then the people at Becks are lying to us, according to their advertising Becks Vier (german for 'four') is brewed using glacial water, yeast, hops and malted barley - this is on the posters for it but on the beer coasters it just says water(nothing about it being glacial)

Not that we have many glaciers handy in the UK!
