Use John Freida's Color Glaze in the darkest brown shade. It's really nice! I don't use color with it and it makes my hair so pretty after like 3 times using it!

Reds in hair colorants fade really fast-- and it's the red in the dye that makes that color so rich. Try using different brands of hair color, or go to the salon. Best bet, though is use a level 2 semi-permanent hair color and use it more often. YOu can also try using a natural henna color- Sally Beauty Supply carries it. It is a natural reddish plant dye that also conditions hair wonderfully. Been used for thousands of years by sesert peoples to keep the dry air from destroying their hair-- even the ancient Egyptians used it! Go with a redder hue, and it will liven up your hair without lightening it. I have a love for red in my hair, and chemical dyes fade so fast I don't bother with them anymore. The henna feels wonderful, and the color is so pretty. Just follow the directions, and be prepared for a major mess...

Make sure you are using a dye that is permanent...not semi...then use a shampoo that is made for hair that has dye in it....it will help keep the color in your hair....if u go swimming keep you hair out of the pool water....chlorine is never good for your hair....when your outside in the sun wear a hat or something to cover your hair.....and if that doesnt work....try going to a salon and see what they have to say....theyre professionals....and thats what they get paid for

Try using a dye that's darker than the final look you want. Also use shampoo and conditioner for dark colored hair. Try talking to your hair stylist to see if he/she has any tips for your hair. Good luck! :)

You can do a permanent hair dying, then using volume shampoo. But if you are a girl on a budgjet then ya'll might wanna use a wig :D It isn't the BEST thing but yeah.
A wig may not be obvious, but it's hot, hot and itchy unless u get use to it. Like Hannah Montana's wig is hot and itchy, but it looks pretty real to me.

I learned that soaking your hair in hebal tea does darken it alot, because i tested it and my hair did get darker.
Use a good shampoo and cont. that holds hair color as well
And when you dye it again leave it in longer than you would, it will darken there too
This is stuff i did and my hair did darken

Maybe the brand you are using is not good. Try getting it done at a professional.
