I would take away his medication if you know what I mean. If he is being cruel to you I would tape record his statements and then play them back. If he is only nice to you just before sex I would reconsider your relationship. Maybe he doesn't realize what he has? Perhaps Christmas is a good time to see if you two still love each other. Not that I know anything about love, it has been a very long time since I have even been touched. I like everything to be perfect or as good as possible and I guess I am not even good enough to try.

Get him to a doctor to see if it is dementia or Alzheimer's etc.
Most people who forget have selective memory or are so mentally busy they do not store what they might consider minor items in their memory.
