There are very many memories of bobcats breeding with relatives cats with hybrid kittens ensuing. i think it quite is in all probability it has got here approximately on social gathering yet so some distance as i understand there is not any longer yet scientific information. See my answer on your different bobcat question with the hyperlink to documents on Pixiebobs. it quite is a breed that began from cats that have been curiously area bobcat . This has no longer been shown in DNA tests to be genuine, in spite of the fact that the Pixiebob breeders in favour of this concept have referred to some obstacles of cutting-edge DNA testing. i don't experience i'm knowledgeable sufficient approximately all the significant factors of this to have a distinctive opinion. yet in spite of everything the Pixiebob is a cat breed bred to resemble the Coastal pink Bobcat and a few of them are rather bobcatty finding.

Theres a better chance of the bobcat EATING the housecat than breeding with it-2 different species and will not breed, just because in the "cat family"doesn't mean they fit together. In nature breeding follows hard nosed rules no crossbreeding occurs and when artificially inseminated it just doesn't happen.

There iz a possibility that a house cat could mate with a bob cat. I own 9 catz none of them neutered & this is due to the fact i am a breeder. When my catz call any male cat will come to my door tryin to get in.

A house cat could mate with a bob cat.

hope this helped,
Merry Christmas

Chances are unknown. But cross-breeding is very possible.

Nobody really knows, because they're animals who are from different species (but are in the same family), but mate anyway.

But remember, mating is not always necessary. Scientist now have the technology to impregnate an animal with animal sperm from another species.

Examples: Ligers/Tigons
Dogs (from any family)
Wolves/Dogs
Whale/Dolphin
Horses
even some with animals and humans (Parahumans)

Animals are much more hornier than we are.

My bro-in-laws parents have a huge cat that is half bobcat, so it can happen, but the domestic cat would have to be pretty good size itself. It's not common, but I believe it is possible.

I don't know but I think there's a better chance of the bobcat ripping the housecat to shreds.

About the same as me breeding with Tom Cruise.

Did you say breeding or eating? I think the latter would happen 1st.
