It takes about 2 days to unthaw. Check the USDA or FDA websites for specific information to be safe.
Put your turkey in a Nesco roaster on the rack and with some organic chicken broth, poultry seasoning and pats of butter under the skin. It turns out delicious that way.
Check the Food Network website - Sandra Lee and Emeril have the best recipes.

IA turkey that big will need nearly a good two days just to defrost,,,
Once you put the stuffing in weigh again...calculate 15 to 18 min. cooking time per pound including the weight of your stuffing. at 300º F.bake covered until the last hour, uncover then so it will brown. Baste with the juices every 20 or 30 min. to keep it moist and juicy.
Merry Christmas!

Cooking it on xmas day?? Put it in the fridge ASAP. How long it takes is really going to depend on how frozen it still is on xmas since its still in the freezer. If you have a pop up timer that would be the best plan.Should be around 4-4 1/2 hours or longer since its frozen.

The same way you do a small one, except longer.... 325 degree oven. defrost and wash board. sprinkle with salt and pepper. Put in roasting pan. put in oven. Let it cook, probably 1 hour for every 3-4 pounds. So that will be 5-6 hours. baste with drippings periodically, and if the bird starts to get dark, cover with foil. Better get started.

Why would you want to snuff out the life of a beautiful living animal just so you can chomp on its carcass. Why not skip the bird and save a life this Christmas?
