A cylinder 84 cm high has a circumference of 16 cm. A string makes exactly 7 complete turns round the cylinder while its two ends touch the cylinder's top and bottom. How long is the string in cm?

Well, lets see.. that's 84 cm equals 33 inches, and 16 cm equal 6.3 inches, so 7 times 6.3 inches equals 44.1 inches around. So 44.1 inches around . wait... the two ends touch top and bottom, so that makes the string 33 inches plus 44.17 inches.. for a total of 77.17 inches. or about 196 cm.
