I have

1) a California Chandon (no year) Brut Classic
2) a Freixenet Cava...cordon ***** (no year) Brut
3) Charlemagne...poire... demi sec... (no year) Magnum
4) J&B Sarcey Champagne (1991) Vintage reserve brut

Can anyone rank these for me in terms of which ones are better?

THANK YOU!

I appreciate the champage advice, but I really just need to know which of these which I have listed is best, and which is worst.

Don't listen to the peeeps who say 2 are not Champagnes, a Champagne is just a sparkling wine. All the wines you mentioned are Sparkling wines.

Hiya,
Unfortunately all the above mentioned wines are sparkling wines but not Champagne, as Champagne is a sparling wine that comes from France from this particular region.

Buy real champagne, buy a bottle of french champagne, it's worth the price!

I'm french, and I've lived in the US, where I could find for about $40 (i guess it's a little more expensive now, since the Euro got stronger recently) "Veuve Cliquot"... Orange or black label.

You can also buy "Canard Duchesne"... it's less expensive, but still very good.

If you want to change your habits, buy it "sweet" ('demi-sec" will be written on it) or "Rosé" (it's very good and fashionable here)

Taste it : you'll never get back to californian champagne.

well first 2 are sparkling wines, not champagne, not from france

And since Sarcey is is renowned for high quality wines etc I would go with that as number 1 champagne - if its from the champagne region (but it may not be a true french as Sarcey are importers).

If its a Cuvee Charlemange its a decent one, but I agree with the girl above on the Veuve Cliquot.. its worth the money either orange or black label.

Unless it is past its prime, I'd go with #4 first, then #1, #2. I leave out #3 because it is somewhat sweet and goes better with dessert or spicy food.
