First of all I am a Muslim, and Islam insists that devils and angels exist. However, there is nothing in Islam denying that devils can be inside a man body and curse him, and there is also nothing in Islam that is confirming it. So, let's say Islam is neutral to it.

I would love to know what the church said about this? And what about science?

I saw a documentary about this once, such things were filmed all over the world. I saw a muslim guy healing someone (or forcing the devil to leave that someone's body) by Quran. I also saw a christian guy doing the same thing using Bible and holy water. Africans and Hindu did the same.
From the above, I believe it is only something mental, as all religions have the same effect, it can't be a real devil inside a man.
What do you think?

Everybody suspects such things. Some not all admit it is their belief. Not high society people in corporate life at a social but -- at home it is different. There are so many signs but no absolute proof. I like to refer to the Greeks who had their Gods like Zeus and those in between like Hercules and then all the little invisable nympths and demons (dozens more of such things with Greek mythology) that tempt, nudge and urge and some who drive you bananas like the Harpies. Nobody knows. I know one thing, I was born Christian but I don't like it. I also don't like Hebrew. Nothing personal but I also don't like Islam. I think the Abrahamic Trio are a plague of humanity at this point. Needless and past there time. Bury them and move on.

There has been no scientific evidence that angels or devils exist and that anyone has been cured from an angel or a devil. Thus, any religious book is as good as any other because none of them have any positive effect. I personally would use the "Analects of Confucius" to talk some sense into the mentally ill person who thinks that he or she is under devils possession.

This has changed over the years.

Over all, Demons used to be something attributed to being real and tangeable. Actual creatures that sought to lead us down the wrong path.

As time progressed, that philosiphy gave way to a more human centered idea of Demons being a metaphor for those urges and vices we all wrestle with.

Individual beliefs vary. Some Christians believe in literal demons others belive they are metaphor.

Okay well you mean demons right? & yes I do beleive that demons can actually be inside of you. Have you seen "The excorcism of emily rose" well actually thats the movie that convinced me demons were real, since the story is based upon true events & the movie taught me a lot, spiritually. So when somone is forcing the demons out of someone it is an excorcism based on spirtual beleifs.

See there are not actual facts. There are non-facts, facts, & religion. Because there is no one factual religion so I think basically its just something spiritually & what you beleive happens. And i believe a demon can be inside of someone.

If you mean Jinn, there is proof that they can possess humans.
I read it in a few ahadith. I don't know if they were weak or not, but at least you can't say Islam is neutral about it.

Some scholars say there are other ways of exorcism, other than by the Quran, but they are haram in Islam, because they make the Jinn leave out of fear of something else, not out of fear of Allah.

Allah knows best

As for as to your question, the answer is yes! I'm Christian.

But, today in the medical field its called mental illness! Its seen in people who commit horrible crimes, because they heard voices telling them to do it.

There are some who use this for a way out. But, then there are some who say they actually did hear voices.

i think, like all religious writings and teachings, that is it allegorical, uhm, maybe that isnt the best word but it is what comes to mind. You dont take these things literally, doing so is what causes so much trouble in the world. As for me, maybe you or someone has the devil in them, but dont drag me into your private little hell.

There may still be a few evil spirits around, left over from the Lucifer rebellion. They sometimes like to try to take over people's minds.

People thought it was devils because they knew very little about disease. Today we know that being possessed by a devil is really disease, which means we should rid ourselves of this superstition.
