If you want to write an entire essay in this line of thinking you may want to look at a full subject like the cause and effect of a 'grass roots' movement. Choose an example of a powerful change started by one person. One black woman who won't get off the bus, one hispanic worker who starts a protest against poor treatment of migrant workers, etc. Someone has to start something somewhere for it to become learning and then change. (It doesn't always go where you think it is going to when you jump on the band wagon. Look at the movie 'Reds'.)
