Made choc. crackle cookie batter. recpt show to chill and roll into balls. batter turned out very thin no like dough but a batter. When they cook, the turn out thin and chewey. is there a fix to the dough or is it trash?

You could try adding chocolate cake mix a little at a time until dough is consistency you want - then refrigerate again before rolling into balls and baking.

Bake the first set and see how they taste.

not sure . when it happens to me I make topping for ice cream.
