First of all, God is omniscient (which means he knows everything); so He does not need to strike you (or anyone else) down in order to see whether you will get up again and trust Him. He knows that answer already. Secondly, God is not in the business of striking people down; He's in the business of saving them. Why would He strike you down when He sent His Son to die for your sins (so you could live happily with Him in heaven forever)? That would result in His Son having died in vain. Although all of us, as sinners, deserve to be stricken down, the reason God does not strike us all down right now is that He is exercising a great amount of patience with everyone in the world, giving all of us every opportunity to repent and trust in Him before we die. Some people will be smart enough to accept that gift of forgiveness; other people will spend their time worrying about whether God is just itching to strike them down for not being perfect. You'll never be perfect; but you can always be forgiven. Why don't you trust God not because He has the power to strike you down but because He has saved you!

Interesting logic. God won't strike you down anytime soon. I also believe that we all have our own agency and God allows us to do as we choose. He gave us that right in the war in heaven when the Father banished Satan and 1/3 of the hosts of heaven. Check out the website I linked to for you and see what you think.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

If you are a parent would strike your child down just to see if that child would still trust you? No, you would not. God is our Father in Heaven, He is the one who will bring you through the hard times. When you go through a hard time and trust God you will never forget it.

God allows or makes things to happen, what happens after that is
CHOICE...he may "give" you over to whatever thing you've decided
to do and let you reap what you sow as a lesson. in other cases
it maybe that when you suffer something its simply so that there
is "witnessing" going on against someone else for the final day...
remember he said if you hurt one of his...you hurt him...if you
save one of his you'll get a reward?

How do you really know the difference between good and evil? Can you really know what God has in store for you? Can you tell the future when you can't even see the wind?

he is loving
he is caring.
he loves us!!
we are his children!!
some ppl think that God is just up there, waiting for us to mess up, but no, he loves us and wants to have a personal relationship with us :]
and God gives us freewil, the option to decide, God wants us to follow him, but he isnt going to make us.
