"The Bible is the Word of God. I know this because The Bible says so." There is absolutely no other authority on earth that says the Bible is the word of God, except itself. And don't say Jesus said it, because that's just quoting the Bible.

John 1:1 makes it clear that JESUS is the true word of God.

People dont believe the Bible because the Bible says this and that. People believe the Bible because they believe GOD and have an active prayer life and get answers to those prayers.

I don't have a problem with it. But to ease your mind, here is a verse that I hope that will answer your question. In 2nd Timothy 3:16-17 it says:

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

It's circular.

The only valid thing to say is: "I know the Bible is the word of God because of the witness of my conscience." And I'd agree with that, with the (significant) caveat that God's word is always expressed in human words, with all their cultural and personal imperfections and limitations.

I suppose that if the bible is true then the statement is true. Since Christians believe that the bible is true then that is that for them. Personally, however, the statement doesn't do anything for me because anybody can say it about anything, anywhere and anytime.

It is a null statement.

Jesus was quoted in the bible, but it was not written untill years after his death.

If the statement is """The Bible is the Word of God. I know this because The Bible says so."""

Then

THAT'S OK WITH ME!

The Bible was written by men, long after Jesus died, and in a different language then what he spoke.

003:064] Say (O Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him]): "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but God (Alone), and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides God." Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims."

[003:065] O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you dispute about Ibrâhîm (Abraham), while the Taurât (Torah) and the Injîl (Gospel) were not revealed till after him? Have you then no sense?

[003:066] Verily, you are those who have disputed about that of which you have knowledge. Why do you then dispute concerning that of which you have no knowledge? It is God Who knows, and you know not.

[003:067] Ibrâhîm (Abraham) was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a true Muslim Hanîfa (Islâmic Monotheism – to worship none but God Alone) and he was not of Al-Mushrikûn (See V.2:105).

[003:068] Verily, among mankind who have the best claim to Ibrâhîm (Abraham) are those who followed him, and this Prophet (Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him]) and those who have believed (Muslims). And God is the Walî (Protector and Helper) of the believers.

[003:069] A party of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) wish to lead you astray. But they shall not lead astray anyone except themselves, and they perceive not.

Yeah, for that you have to be convinced that the Bible is divine.

Yes, it is a crazy circular argument, and why Protestantism falls on its face.
