American English is a beautiful language. Spanish is my first language, but it was English that caught my attention and held it. I hope that it becomes the universal language, but not to the detriment of other languages. It is not a question of Spanish versus English.

Mexicans being the majority is a different issue. It may be similar to asking if Italians are the majority in the U.S. right now. It is a silly question since we no longer differentiate between forefathers from different nations. People simply fall under the white people banner. Yes, you can say that you are Italian, German with a little bit of Irish, but to everyone that doesn't know you, you are white.

They are vastly becoming the majority in the U.S and as for English still being the official language, I don't think so. Almost every product you buy now a days is available in several different languages. Pretty soon we are going to be the minority in our own country.

Really, and don't tell anybody, Canada has been devising a plan for the last 50 years to take over the United States and turn it into a resort. They have been training an army of guerrilas to push through the border patrol up there and move into all major cities in the US and take over by whatever force is necessary. I may not be back after this. I think they'll know it was me who told.

Oh, someone's at the door right now. . .shhhhhhhh

Yes English will still be the most widely spoken language in the country.
And what would it matter if Mexicans were in the majority?
People are people!
If you don't like that scenario, you could always leave and live in Mexico, it's beautiful there.

No and I don't know.

There is a much bigger population in India and China than in Mexico, and they like it here too. I wouldn't bet on a majority here ever being Mexican or Mexican American.

On the other hand, I doubt the majority will be white, one way and another.

They will be the majority. Come on. Everywhere you go you see a pregnant mexican woman, one baby in her arm, another in a stroller, a one year old holding her hand and another 2 year old on her other hand. They are breeding breeding breeding. They said so themselves in a protest in the streets of LA that they love the fact that they are going to take over by numbers. Some idiot said we use their customs. WTF?? Only thing I do thats mexican is a bean burrito or a taco. I am proud to be in America and Im proud of it being a melting pot. But I will NOT live like a sardine in a 2 bedroom apartment with 10 family members. At this point, I'd love to go move to Canada or Europe.

No--they will interbreed-so that won't happen

English will always be here, there might be another spoken often-we see that now. But with our other neighbor Canada-English will be prominent for a long time.
