By definition, AD/HD is a condition that has its onset in childhood. Many adults were never correctly diagnosed, even when they were children. In some cases, the individual used his or her high intelligence or great determination to mask the AD/HD symptoms. The AD/HD adult often becomes frustrated or angry rapidly, but may cool off equally quickly. He or she is then left wondering why everyone else is still upset at the blow up.
It could be that you have had this condition all along, but it was internalized until the pressures of adult life brought it out. Your problems may also have another source. It's best to seek the advice of a doctor, since there are many possibilities.

Theres is still a lot about ADD (or more commonly referred to as ADHD - Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder) that we dont' know. The symptoms of ADHD are so wide and not precisely defined. For the past several years, many children were diagnosed with ADD/ADHD without being perfectly sure what exactly was going on with the child.
Patience (or lack there of) can be a sign of ADD/ADHD, but I have seen students diagnosed with this to focus on something for hours. The key thing is that they are really interested in the subject.
As far as the medical community goes, ADD/ADHD is something that you are born with. It may manifest itself more later in development, but it's not something the you "get". I do have friends who were diagnosed with ADHD in thier adulthood.
It might simply be that you have continuely been presented with different stimuli that you have conditioned yourself after many years to go after the more interesting thing, leaving your other project aside. Sometimes when starting a project, you realise how much energy/time/money will be needed to put into it, and the novelty wears off and you actually seek for an out. I find putting on final touches on a project to be the hardest thing, so it is easy to procrastinate and not finish the project.
If all else fails, get it checked out with a doctor. However, if you are diagnosed, don't use it as a crutch. Learn from it and use it. Some of my very successsful friends are diagnosed with ADHD - they have learned to deal with it and found advantages of having ADHD and ran with it!

MMM probably not. Stress impacts memory and attention. If you are feeling very stressed out this may be why. Speak with a therapist may help and also usually a psychologist tests for ADHD.
ADHD is the proper term because ADD, is not even a dignostic lable anymore and hasn't been for over the last ten years. Drug companies or medical doctors that recieved their training before 1996 may call it that and plenty of people who had that lable given to them years ago call it ADD. There are 4 types of ADHD, hyperactive, inattentive, mixed and NOS.(Not otherwise specified) Hyperactivity is not the person's behavior as much as it is what is describing of the brain's activity. Get tested if you are concerned because treatment available.
My guess is that you are stressed and if you can manage that things will get better. GOOD LUCK!

No, i seriously doubt that you have ADD. Those of us who do have Adult ADD also showed many symptoms of it during our childhoods. The fact that we were never properly diagnosed until we became adults is of no importance.
There is so much more to having ADD than simply not finishing a task. There are things like hyper-focusing , being accident prone, having moments of temper outburst's because of frustration, the need to be distracted in order to focus. the feeling of always doing 100mph while sitting still.
I sincerely hope that you never become a member of the Adults with ADD club.
While having ADD does have many joys it is really hard on the people around you.

You could have ADHD, like my cousin was diagnosed with. He is one of the smartest people on the planet... was a nuclear phsyicist for the Navy... and now is a respiratory specialist. He recently found out that not only did he have ADHD with the exact same symptoms as you say, but also that it is genetic. He now takes daily medication for it and is concetrating much better.

It varies lots from healthcare expert to healthcare expert. some psychiatrists will in basic terms ask you a chain of questions and if the solutions needless to say point out ADHD, then they prescribe you the meds in one bypass to. Others will ask you questions over 2 visits and then prescribe you the meds on the third bypass to. that's what my psychiatrist did. some choose for you to do psycho-educational sorting out and then look on the outcomes till now they are going to prescribe something for ADHD. they'd additionally choose for to get an EEG or some blood paintings till now you're taking the meds. i could anticipate that your college scientific corporation could be slightly reluctant to prescribe ADHD meds to you, particularly Adderall by using fact they're usually abused on college campuses. i could attempt to work out a psychiatrist exterior of school, if in any respect achievable. i understand my scientific corporation won't even prescribe you ADHD meds till you have already got a prescription from yet another healthcare expert. oftentimes, stimulants are the 1st line therapy for ADHD, till you have a coronary heart subject or yet another situation that stimulants could worsen. Adderall, Ritalin, and Vyvanse are all subject-loose stimulants. Adderall is sweet by using fact it somewhat is somewhat low-cost (now regularly occurring) and the prolonged launch version lasts as much as twelve hours. the earnings of stimulants is they take effect interior an hour, so it somewhat is uncomplicated to debris around with the doses. Non-stimulants are Strattera and Wellbutrin, yet those are oftentimes 2nd line remedies, yet while they think of you have gotten melancholy and not ADHD, they could prescribe Wellbutrin by using fact it somewhat is an antidepressant besides a non-decent ADHD med.

Yeah anyone can and you might have developed it when you got older. It's called nurture or nature. Which means you might have been born with something but you just didn't notice the symptoms until later on in life or something triggered it

You have a commitment problem. You have to set your focus to finish tasks you start. Adults don't develop ADD. You have it from childhood.
