I saw some for sale online, but they look rather like nappies, having to wash them after each use.

They get stained and look pretty nasty after a short while. If you want to try these then look for the chocolate brown or black pads that will not show the stains so much.
You can make your own by layering a thick cotton fabric with a layer of plastic between 2 or 3 layers of material. Look at the pictures on the websites and make the wrap around as they show in the pictures and use a bit of velcro or a "snap" to hold it in place.
When you wash them...rinse them a couple of time to remove all soap...a soap rash "down there" is not fun at all!
