i'm atheist and find it that everyone always attacking each other belief and people think just because you are a certin religion that your rude and you hate everyone or they just don't understand

I agree that it's unfortunate that there is so much animosity. However, it's important to ignore most of the name-calling and ridiculous stuff that you see online. People (generally) don't behave like this when they are in person.

I just find it interesting how people are so quick to group people and then assume, based I am sure on one or few experiences or what some one has heard or been told that all people in that group must act or treat others the same way.....sounds like we have not learned from our past history.
question? What was meant by some people are smarter than others and try to enlighten others? You enlighten others by attacking and putting down? Where does that philosophy come from. I don't know for you but I tend to get more defensive when attacked.

Religious tolerance is more common than one would think by reading the stuff in R&S.
Some people just want to stir [poop]. Some are sincere in their beliefs (or nonbeliefs).
Personally, I say that it's got to be a VERY rare individual who changes his/her religion based on online "preaching." It's like abortion debates...nobody's going to change their mind, so just move on.

Nope. The world can never get along with one another. It's impossible for people to say "I'll respect your beliefs while keeping my own." Get that idea out of your head!
