I've had my headache for 14 days now. I've tried Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Tylenol, caffeine, cold compresses, etc. I spoke with my doctor and he said to get a massage, but that didn't work either. Any other over-the-counter ideas?

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

I have had migraines since I was younger...

The triggers that start them are:

not enough sleep
not eating right/ skipping meals
Drinking alcohol
drinking/ eating anything with caffeine
raw onions for some strange reason..lol

I would try to see if you can determine the trigger/ food/ stressful situation that causes them...start narrowing things out.

usually if I get a migraine and I have already avoided the triggers, I take aleve and sleep.

I have heard that acupuncture works well, but I have never tried it...

hope this helps a little :)

Sounds like you could have a rebound headache from all the stuff you have taken. Have a heating pad? Try laying down with it on the back of your neck. I always takwn Excedrin Migraine, it really does help. Hope you feel better.

A good chiropractor will help immensely. They have saved me from serious surgery after breaking my neck as a teenager. Also helpful is putting your hands in ice cold water, then lying down in a dim room for awhile.

My aunt taught me this (she gets migranes). Take a few grains of cayenne pepper and sniff it. It will sting your sinuses a little, but it helps with the headache. I've done this many times and it works.
