I know exactly what you are going through, I had the exact same problem.
I had him over and just talked it out, he was pretty upest, i thought i made the right decision, but now i realize i made a mistake. I was really happy at the time when i broke it off, but now i regret it.
The best advice i can give you, is to really think over your actions, and how you might feel later, If you do do it, he's worth it enough to have it told to him personally. Do it in person and talk it over , let him down gently, but tell him everything you feel. Don't beat around the bush just get it all out there.

Make him break up with you. That would probably be the least hurtful way for him. You could suddenly become obnoxious, or cheat on him, or another way to make him hate you. Or, I guess you could just straight out tell him, "I want to break up." but I think that would hurt alot... but to purposely make him hate u wuld also hurt him... sigh, well, there isnt a best way.

Having a bf who TRULY loves you, that's a fortune! If he's such a good man, why would you leave him? You may not find such a man again. Unless he has some traits that aren't right and can cause problems for you or both of you, then stay with him.

honesty is the best policy.be direct stop saying how sorry
u are.i hated to hear phrases like"it hurts me to do this"
u have a reason,he deserves to know.
when u do break up let him know it's final.
unfortunatley there is no way he is'nt going to be hurt,
you can minimize the damage by being completely honest with him.

Be a heartless soul that takes and never gathers, it must be nice to walk upon the feelings of someone that worships the ground that you walk on. I hope it ever happens to you again.

There is none. You leave a guy that loves you, he'll be very [very] hurt. Take it from me, unless you want to break his heart, and make him feel the worse pain in his life, don't leave him. I would know...

Let's see, I have been dumped over the phone, via IM, through e-mail and in person. Let me tell you, they all suck. Just sit down and talk to him. Don't use any cheesy lines like " Its not you, its me" just let him know its over and then leave. OH, and try to have a reason, not this " that's just how I feel " crap.

How long have you been seeing each other?
Why do you want to break it off?
Is it love or infatuation, love takes time to develop

Say, "I'm breaking up with you." Add some reasons if you feel kind but you aren't obligated to do so.
