It depends, with the lack of snow we have had in S Ont and Quebec, it could be hit and miss, the best thing to do it bookmark the weather section and have Montreal as one of your places of reference.

I worked at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in 1985, and it was nice from April to September, the only problems that could arise is if the there is a major storm, the sidewalks are a bit narrow and the snow banks can be a hazard to maneuver.
