God MADE Adam from the earth. God's Pinocchio - so to speak. Jesus was born of an unspermed mother (if one believes the bible). I agree with the "prophet" part. In some countries he is a saint. All human nonetheless.

Um, if you don't believe Jesus was the Son of God, you're not a Christian--that's sort of what Christian means...
Anyway, the reason Adam isn't the Son of God is because he wasn't born, he was made. In the Chronicles of Narnia, humankind is referred to as Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve.
Technically, I suppose we're all children of God; however, Jesus is the only divine Son of God. Therefore, he's "THE" Son, and anyone else is just "A" son.

1Cor.15
[44] It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
[45] And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Luke.3
[38] Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.
(IT SAYS HERE, ADAM WAS THE SON OF GOD)
Matt.5
[9] Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Rom.8
[16] The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
[17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
[21] Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Rom.12
[5] So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Jas.1
[18] Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
From this I see you are correct. Jesus was a prophet who knew he was the son of God. But one thing is forgotten, he also said we are all the son of God. He did not claim to be special. He knew we were ALL BEGOTTEN (James 1:18). But is also says that we are all the Body of Christ. Christ is one, so this makes sense of the only begotten Son. That would be all of us as one body together.
Christ is all of us. Jesus did not claim to be Christ himself apart from all of us too. I think that is the misunderstanding.
Luke.18
[19] And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

The mormons believe that Adam is our God (the Adam/God principle). Brigham Young also said there are people on the moon and the son, though...
