there is a minimum of three issues to think approximately first: I rank Robert Bilder's theory of score psychological illnesses on a "continuum" extra effective than score them categorically. Why? because of the fact the physique is nearly a vessel of water, and a few individuals are extra organic, and others are contaminated. this is an occasion of Masaru Emoto's water theory. while you're nurtured (tortured?) in a detrimental ecosystem that's what you will mirror. The scientific community, and CDC additionally needs to nicely known and handle the spectacular psychological impairments and area outcomes of particularly some pollution that many human beings have been uncovered to. . Our society needs to conform to those 3 concepts in the previous a clever approach could nicely be developed to effectively and particularly take care of psychological illnesses. the actual answer and answer on your question is a lot extra suitable than classifying the particular case you point out. the whole gadget desires an overhaul, because of the fact the main present day technology and organic scientific remedies understand what motives psychological illnesses extra suitable now.

No it's not considered a mental illness. This isn't that bad of a question when you consider the number of mental illnesses that are environmentally caused (PTSD etc). The most recent research has shown relationships between extreme racism and certain psychosis such as sociopath, and schizophrenia. However, it is still to date consider a social issue not a mental health issue.

only if ignorance and stupidity are also mental illnesses. mental illness is not something a person gets from having certain beliefs- it has a biological component. Racism is generally cultural or religious in nature, and is based on fear of what is different or unknown

No, all Racism is, is a form of prejudice (I'm better than you because I'm Smaller/Taller, Black/White, Man/Woman, English/Not English. Younger/Older) need I say more!
Find a way to get rid of prejudice and Racism, Sexism, etc would not exist but I doubt it is curable so cannot be defined as an illness.
If it is then we all suffer from it to some degree!

that is the absolute dumbest thing i have heard on here. Just because someone has their beliefs against other people does not mean they have a mental illness. I take that as an insult to people who actually have mental illnesses. Racism is something that is taught. weather it is intentional or not it is a taught act not a mental illness.

Racism is a state of choice not a mental illness, it is the same thing as asking "if I dont like this person am I retarded?"

I wish it was. It would give an excuse for the closemindedness of biggots.

At least some of those who suffer from a mental illness can amaze people with their brilliance. Some of the greatest artists of all time have had schizophrenia. Show me some brilliance of a racist, other than the ability to cause pain.

Racism just like a lot of things in life is taught. There are people who teach their children from the cradle that they are superior and others are inferior. You can see 2 year olds spouting the things they have heard from life. Nurture, that's how racist people are made.

IF ONLY!!!! A bit of electric shock therapy and it would be all over!
No its not it must be to do with context - I wish it was a lack of intelligence, how easy would that be to wipe out! But many racists are very intelligent in other ways. Whatever it is that makes these ignoramusses believe in this I still say electro shock therapy for them all, free courtesy of the NHS!
