Besides God showing up to you in some Grand fashion, cause it's not gonna happen(Yes I said it, that's not gonna happen) what exactly is it your looking for before you believe in God(Jesus Christ)?

Or is the Bible right(and you and I both know it is) in that it doesnt matter how much "proof and evidence" we show you;ya'll still wont believe?

Mark 4:12-That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

You can't test Jesus and you are right, no matter what, they won't believe. It is a matter of faith and all you do is pray for them and let them have their own beliefs.

Why do you keep going on about this? Why do you direct all your questions to "non-believers"? You can post whatever you want, but whatever point you're trying to make with all these questions apparently isn't getting through, because you're definitely not converting anyone.

I'm not "looking for" anything -- what I've wanted to find, I've already found. There are only two ways I could accept the Bible to be right: Lie to myself, or convince myself that God can somehow defy logic, and I have no desire to do any of those.

You don't honestly believe that I secretly think talking animals, 800 year old men, the idea that a supreme deity has a son, creating someone from a rib, and some guy putting all the animals in a world on an ark are all possible or logical, do you?

Being a Christian is a matter of faith. Either you have it or you don't. Some can continue to have faith in the face of no evidence, and some cannot have faith for the same reason.

Most Christians believe that one must believe to be saved, but I say to you that it is easier for an American to believe in Christ than it is for a Burmese or an Iranian or a Chinese, and whoever judges these people who have not heard or have heard only about another religion shall be cast into the fiery furnace.

Athesists and nonbelievers - This is the problem of society now to be lost without belief, without faith ; to think that as intricate as the human body is and the world is; how much we don't know about everything; you just didn't happen; are you so closed minded that you can't accept a gift? You have been given the gift whether you choose to acknowledge, accept is faith. You are a doubting Thomas. When you find faith in believing though you don't see; believing but you can't touch; you believe that there are the planets, you can't touch them and for all you know these pictures aren't real; faith can move mountains, brings you closer to the understanding of being with God; it has happened so many times in my life and each and every time, I am totally amazed and it just reaffirms my faith and trust; you can't tempt God to show you that special sign b/c you are then putting yourself on the same level as God and therefore you will fail each and every time. Just ask God to open your heart and mind and mean it; trust in faith and see what happens; won't happen in your demanding time but when God is good and ready and he always picks the best time. Seek and you shall find. Don't lose out on the best thing ever to demonstrate arrogance and ignorance for that which you can't see.

It is amazing to me that you posted such an ignorant question. Your question implies that not only is Christianity the ONLY religion it is the only true one, Then go to surmise that everything in the bible is true. It is historical fact that what is now known as Christianity was set up by a council. This council decided what was relevant and what was not. The Gospels in the bible are only the tip of the ice burg. There are far more of them out there, but because they don't agree with the current bible they were discarded. One that was discarded is said to be written by Jesus himself. If you actually followed Jesus you would know that he preached peace between men. He also was more in favor of praying at home than going to church. He believed that God was everywhere and the common man did not need a middleman to talk to God. His message was NOT intolerance. It was of peace. Maybe you should think of that and allow people to think for themselves what they believe, rather than try to attack what you disagree with.

Seeing that you see, but don't perceive; and hearing you hear, but don't understand; it's time YOU repent.

You intentionally engage in deceit, claiming the word of God. Guess what, you're doing the other guy's work. I hope you don't plan on eternal life.

You claimed you were "Just taking a poll", when in fact you were preaching. Perhaps the atheists just don't want to hang around with liars and those that damn themselves through hypocrisy.

in the start, i'm not a huge fan of the "judgment day theory" if God exists and he/she is so all understanding, there should not be a probability to describe your self, you'll basically bypass the position you're going. Assuming I did trust this although, my reply will be that definite I did trust, besides the indisputable fact that it replaced into faith in mankind, not in a e book. at the same time as my faith received't were interior the regularly occurring experience, I nonetheless believed interior the regulations of fantastic and incorrect, and lead my existence ethically. As for the "God received't forgive you" i does not say sorry, basically say that I stayed authentic to my convictions, that's the authentic that technique of religion.

I am an agnostic, former Christian & have read the entire Bible & parts of several other Bibles. The Bible was written by a bunch of men centuries ago. It's full of rape, murder & slavery. I have explored several different religions. I studied with some & read up on others. I never found the answers I was looking for. The closest thing that makes any sense to me is Buddism. My mother, who was a devout Christian, died from breast cancer. She had people all over the world praying for her. Someone just sent me a story about a child in the cancer ward who people prayed for on Christmas eve & was cured. That's great, but would you tell it to all of the parents of children who died that night?

We accept that you accept your beliefs through faith. However, don't expect us to be sold on that. Faith is exactly what it claims to be. It's not definitive proof.

While I do believe in a general concept of a god-like being, I don't feel that Christianity is any more likely to represent this god accurately than any other religion is. (Let's face it - Christianity borrows heavily from the religious beliefs of earlier cultures. Do you honestly believe the notion of a god becoming mortal, and then dying tragically to regain his god-status is something unique to Christianity? If you do, then I encourage you to read up on Egyptian mythology.)

God and Jesus are not the same. God is the Creator, Grand Architect of the Universe; Jesus was a man who died 2000 years ago.

The Bible is, at times, a book of morals (at least what Jesus taught), but it is not the word of God.

"Faith" is not proof. Why should I blindly follow Christianity on faith and not follow Hinduism on faith? The burden of proof is on the believer, not the non-believer.

God gave us reason, not religion.

You have no evidence. There is no proof. By accepting your right to believe in something for which there is no proof then I have an equal right to disbelieve in the same thing. I can believe in what I wish and disbelieve the same. And there is nothing I am looking for to let me believe. Because belief doesn't require proof, someone who doesn't believe isn't looking for a reason to believe different.
