DO NOT TURN YOURSELF IN!
That's just stupid. I've had two DUIs and they are the biggest pain I've ever had in my life. It costs so much money to get your license back, it's not even funny.
I don't know why you are even considering this. Tell a priest, not the cops.

If "scare therapy" is your thing you may as well try turning yourself in to the law, but I highly doubt you'd be charged with anything. As an alternate, try your auto insurance agent.
It seems that you recognize that OUI is just not a good idea for you or anyone on the road anywhere near you, so I won't harp that. Much.
I have two suggestions.
One: learn to pace yourself. Alcohol is a poison, remember?
Take some thought as to how your own body reacts to it.
All of our chemistries are slightly different. Slow down the consumption. Don't forget to eat. If you're not 'faced when it's time to leave, you're ahead of the game. For that matter, you may notice that "having drinks at the bar" is safer, less expensive and much more fun than "getting drunk at the bar". For that matter, solve the whole shebang at a nip and stay home. Works for me.
Two: invest in a pocket Breathalyzer. Seriously. Mine was less than a hundred bucks. Take it with you, but follow the directions.
As a 16 year alcoholic who has spent no small time in various 12 step groups (AA can work) and had two alcohol-related traffic accidents (both single car, thank goodness), I've become well aware that a vehicle can change to a weapon obscenely fast. I turn my keys over to someone I trust until my BAC is .02 or below (.08 is the legal limit in this state) because I have no interest in finding out how much fun it would be to kill or injure a totally innocent unsuspecting person, persons or family.
Lot of little kids out there in minivans this time of year.
I'd rather not meet them in a courtroom. Or you, for that matter.

I am glad you feel remorse for what you have done. I am also very thankful that no one was harmed during your momentary lapse of common sense. Those are the good things.
The bad thing is you drove drunk. Thousands of people are killed annually because people drink and drive. Children lose parents and parents likewise lose children, due to someone not thinking what the consequences could be and driving while drinking. Take this as a lesson learned and drop to your knees and thank whatever greater power you believe in that everything turned out well. The results could have been tragic.
Please dont drink and drive!

I would just consider myself lucky that I didn't get caught or worse, killed someone or myself. Next time designate a driver OR if they do so, take the provided transportation service by the bar itself (a local bar here in Coolidge has such a thing called the "Gallopin' Goose" since the the name of the bar is the Golden Goose)

Turn yourself in to a rehab centre or AA immediately. You need help with the alcohol. Do not turn yourself in to the authorities, they are not going to set you in the right direction. They will put you on a watch list and you will end up with tickets up the ying-yang because they won't be able to charge you with the drunk driving offence after the fact. The fact you know what you did is indefensible is a major step to understanding, confronting and beating this. Good luck.

Never go to any place again that has alcohol without a designated driver.
Do not turn yourself in, but don't make any more mistakes. You got lucky last night but you could have easily caused an accident and killed yourself or others.

Please forgive Me for this But that was a stupid move, do some soul searching my friend, you risked Not only Your Valuable life but the lives of other Innocent people out there.
Just be happy that you don't have to live the rest of Your life with the regret of wiping out an innocent family.
It's all ready dangerous enough driving when we're sober.
Don't turn your self in ,Just learn from it.

You are kidding....aren't you.
If you are ashamed, don't do that any more. But to turn yourself in, when (and this is an assumption on my part) there was no accident.
Now, if you were involved in an accident, then that's another matter entirely.
On the other hand, if you keep doing it, you won't have to anguish over whether or not turn yourself in, you are gona get caught!

First I would suggest that you get down on your knees and thank God for guiding you home and people on the road safe last night. And while you're at it ask Him to give you more wisdom to know better next time.
Turning yourself in, I'm pretty sure they won't pat you on the back. While being remorseful, promise yourself not to do it again.
Lastly, can I ask you to make this Christmas season safe? Thanks!
