How do you use "hamstring"?
and the meaning is little bit negative?

Hamstring means to cut the heel tendon epically in horses. It is crippling. I think that would be negative. Metaphorical 'to cripple'

It means the hamstring tendon (Achilles tendon) connecting the heel to the calf of the leg is severed; or figuratively someone or something is impeded or restricted.
