Definitely yes.
Christ teaches the worship of the One True God, and He shows absolute obedience to His Creator.
Christ teaches the lesson of selfless love and He practices it with His death on the cross.
Christ teaches humility, and He accepts all persecution with boundless love..., and thousands of other sublime lessons.

I believe you addressed your question to Christians? What are all these other imbeciles responding. Or aren't they really expressing what you were looking for anyway? A bunch of people to log on in support of your intolerance of Christians? Where do you get your morals from and on what basis are they to be taken seriously? Is everyone else supposed to abide by what you say is morally right or wrong? Is there a right and wrong? right for who? You? Me? Its all a matter of what you personally want anyway right? So what is your real question?

The bible is filled with some pretty despicable characters. Especially the Old Testament. If I were you I would get my morals from Jesus, He is the only perfect one.

Christians will tell you yes, but I say you won't.

Numbers chapter 31: God directly orders Moses to murder all Midianites. Moses then becomes upset with his soldiers because they let some Midianites live. Moses makes them kill all remaining Midianites, save the female virgins.

The Flood Story: God, who once was 'quoted' as saying all his creation was good, decides against it, and wipes out all people except for eight humans.

Setting an example for others to follow seems to take many paths. It would seem that yours is being antagonistic. Those who have learned to turn the other cheek and walk away are making a path away from you.

"If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives." Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NIV

I truly hope you won't find your morals in the Bible.

Technically yes, however if you read it you will find some of the morals and things done are disturbing.

as a minimum base standard yes.

That dose not mean you should not go above and beyond those standards.

In a case where society has forbidden something that is Biblicaly permitted you should follow society.
