As long as they are comfortable I don't see any harm in it. You can tell whether it bothers them or not for they'll pull or bite at it & you can just tell they look all scrunched up. If that's the case then yes it's cruel because they don't have a choice to take it off~

I do not think it is cruel to dress the pet in a sweater if it is cold and the pet needs it or a raincoat for pets. But dressing it up just for the fun of it or just for other reasons is stupid.

Dogs have coats on!! These coats keep them warm, thats what they are for. Dressing up your dog as a fashion statement is down right cruelty.
My boxer has short fur but i don't dress him up in anything and he never complains, never wants to come home cause its cold or wet outside. A dog is a dog!! love him, cherish him, feed him and play with him but never lose sight of the fact that he is still a dog.

Not necessarily. Really depends on the pet.
Some like it because they know they're cute. Some like it because it's warmer.
Some absolutely hate it, so in that case, I would think it might be a bit cruel.

depends if you're dressing it up in S&M clothing that's cruel. but some dogs were born with fur for a reason.

I don't condone it but as far as cruelty, I think that there are cruel things that happen to animals and dressing them up isn't one of them.Starving them, beating them and torture are cruel things. Have a great holiday.

It is okay for warmth reasons but just for show offpurposes whilewalking the dog Ithink it is cruel then. Their fur is their clothes not manmade ones.

If it is in a cold climate, it will help the dog to be warm. But if it is during the summer months, it is cruel to do so.

It really depends on what your dressing it in, and what the pet is or what it is like. For example, my chihuahua Benny has two coats which i put on him to keep him warm when I take him outside, and he absolutely loves it.Then, him and my other two dogs all have a special T-shirt which they don't mind at all. Parker will actually drag his shirt over to me for me to put it on him. :)
